This was another week in which it was difficult to decide which three companies I discovered should be included. But ultimately there were some factors that helped decide. AmericanFlags.com seemed like a no-brainer. I love the flag and couldn’t resist adding a company that sold such great, Made in America, flags. With Mother’s Day coming up it seemed like a great time to include Modern Artisans. And I love the concept that they are selling items being made by individual Americans all across the country. And of course since today is Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day (4/16/16), I just had to include a company making pajamas.
American Flags carry’s top quality American flags sewn by some of the nations’s oldest flagmakers. They are proud to include Annin Flagmakers, Valley Forge Flag and Eder Flags as integral parts of their product line.
They carry popular sizes ranging from stick flags to the huge flags you see at car dealers and stadiums. And they are such a success that they have become one of the world’s largest suppliers of residential and commercial-grade American flags.
Their product line includes all sorts of flags including American flags, military flags and state flags. They also carry a wide selection of patriotic items and gifts. If you are looking for patriotic clothing, signs, art, grave markers or even political campaign items (Trump, Hillary & Bernie), include AmericanFlags.com in your shopping.
And of course they also carry decorations such as bunting, flag garlands and banners. Also be sure to look at their full line of flagpoles and flagsets. If you have a business or are hosting any sort of party that needs a touch of Red, White & Blue they can certainly help out.
They also have a great deal of information regarding how to choose the right flag, proper flag care and etiquette and even a listing of the U.S. Flag Codes.
If you are looking to purchase your first US Flag, or a replacement flag then please check out this website. It’s a great place to go shopping and to add some Red, White & Blue to your life.
And don’t forget that Mother’s Day is just around the corner and there are some great gifts for Patriotic Mom’s.
Modern Artisans offers a wonderful alternative to the mass-produced items that are found in most malls and gift stores. It’s a wonderful place to find high quality pieces that are handmade by American artisans.
If you prefer to furnish your home with unique items that you won’t find in your friends or neighbors homes then take a look through the Modern Artisans website.
They offer products in the following categories:
Art and Wall Decor
Home Accessories and Kitchenware
Popular Interests (such as Personalized Gifts, Sports, Spiritual Expressions, etc)
Artful Gift Ideas (Gifts by Occasion & Theme, Him & Her and Gifts by Price or for Animal Lovers)
Many of their items can be gift boxed or can have a message included with your order. And of course if you just don’t know what to get someone but you know they love handmade items, they also have gift certificates available.
Each of their items has a short description which usually includes which state it was made in and sometimes includes information on the artisan.
They also sponsor a “Crafting a Better Tomorrow” program which donates at least 1% of profits to a variety of non-profit groups and organizations supporting worthy causes. These organizations tend to be supporting unique causes and are chosen on a bi-annual basis. Some of the causes have included The Elephant Sanctuary of Howenwald, TN, The Doo-Wop Preservation League of Wildwoods, NJ and the North Carolina Senior Games.
When I learned that April 16th is Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day, I went looking for companies making PJ’s here in the USA. I’m not sure whether it’s their company name or the fact that their pajamas are so darn cute, but I knew that I needed to spread the word about them.
Founded in Berkeley in 1998, they are now located in the sunnier climes of Venice. They continue to offer fabulous patterns and wonderful fabrics along with maintaining that everything they make is California Made. From the designers to the stitchers, everyone involved in The Cat’s Pajamas is part of making a well designed product that people love to use.
They offer styles including both long and short sleeve sets, pajama bottoms for men and women, robes and nightshirts. The also offer fabrics ranging from a lightweight cotton through a poplin and up to a flannel that looks exceptionally cozy.
But it is their patterns that really caught my eye. If I was planning to pick out just 1 pair of these pajamas I’d have an awfully difficult time deciding what to get. It’s a good thing that they have a SALE page. That could make the decision a little easier for many customers.
Their pajamas have been seen on TV shows such as Will & Grace, 30 Rock, Buffy the Vampire Slayer among others. They have also been featured in Magazines including InStyle, GQ, and People.
You can purchase their pajamas on their own website or on Amazon.com where many of their products are Prime eligible.
For women who love pajamas, or men looking to buy a great gift, take some time and work your way through their website to fully experience all of the designs they offer. I’m sure that you’ll be as impressed as I was!
