Santa Barbara native Karen Kane moved to Los Angeles with the dream of becoming a fashion designer. After earning her degree in fashion and meeting her husband Lonnie, the pair launched Karen Kane out of their garage. They shipped their first collection in 1979 and soon realized they needed more space so moved into downtown LA and they have been growing ever since featuring their American Made clothing.
They now work out of a 130,000 square foot state of the art facility in Vernon, CA.
Karen Kane has become synonymous with style, comfort and sophistication. Starting with an “Outstanding Tailoring” award from the State of California while still in high school, Karen has won many awards including the prestigious FIDM Peacock Award for excellence in design.
If you are looking for comfort and style in your clothes then please check out the Karen Kane product line including her plus size collections.
On of the feature I enjoyed on their website was a Company History Timeline. It provides a real sense of their company and is worth a look.
Karen’s collections are featured in department stores and specialty boutiques nationwide and you can also find
Karen Kane on Amazon.
Please note that some of their fabrics are imported and are manufactured here in the USA and are clearly labeled.
